You can either register by clicking on the register button at the top of the website, or you can call the pharmacy during opening hours and ask to speak to someone about registering. We’ll be happy to explain the service and all we need to “nominate” the patient to the pharmacy is either their NHS number or individual details such as date of birth and address, which we can use to find the person on the NHS system.

We are offering a comprehensive, individually tailored service for people who have regular prescriptions that aims to take the headache of managing this process away from the patient. Once nominated one of the team will get in touch to find out more about the patient and how the service would best work for them. Everybody is offered free delivery, with text message and/or email notifications on the day of delivery as well as email notifications when we recieve your prescriptions from your GP. We will also order your prescriptions on your behalf if you’d like us to (subject to surgery permission- some surgeries only allow patients to order their own prescriptions directly with them) and how you would like this process to be set up. We’ll find out delivery preferences, any specific requirements you have when it comes to your medication and whether there are any health needs we should cater for.

We offer the service to anybody who resides in England. Based as we are in the midlands near Lichfield, we use our own employed drivers in our own vans to deliver locally to Lichfield, Tamworth and the rest of the west midlands including Birmingham and Solihull. For patients living further afield we use the secure Royal Mail tracked service, on a 24 or 48 hour delivery. We can deliver both controlled drugs and refridgerated items such as insulin by both methods, with the exception that a signature* will always be required at the point of delivery- we canot offer the option of the delivery being left in a safe place. * during the covid-19 pandemic, signatures will come from the driver at a safe distance in the presence of the recipient.

Should this situation occur, eg your GP issues antibiotics or a new medication that requires starting immediately, depending on the location we can offer same day delivery or early next. Otherwise, given that 99% of prescriptions we receive are “electronic” prescriptions, we have a simple procedure in place whereby we can send you a barcode to your phone or email which will allow you to collect the prescription straight away from any pharmacy that you can get to. This is a system that we have used for a long while- it works well and existing patients who live as far away as Cornwall and Northampton are very satisfied with it.

Where we really excel is in providing a truly personal service. We are a small team with one regular pharmacist and five members of staff. We’re on first name terms with most of our patients, it’s easy to get through on the phone and we genuinely offer to go the extra mile and help where patients are having issues with their medication. For example if your medication is out of stock, we won’t refer you back to your GP- we’ll source an alternative and contact your GP ourselves to obtain a new prescription. If you need advice, our pharmacist Jas is available at short notice to help and advise- not only on the telephone but also by video link, should the need arise. In short, we’re easy to get in touch with, friendly, approachable, ready to listen- we get to know our patients and that’s why they’re happy with us.
