The NHS Covid and Flu vaccination service starts on October 3rd at our pharmacy in Packington Hayes.
Getting vaccinated as soon as possible after this date is important to ensure you are suitably protected from the worst effects of covid-19 and flu.

Upon arrival, ring the bell and wait for a member of staff to greet you. There is a ground floor room suitable for those who have difficulty with stairs which staff can make available.

The pharmacy and clinic are located on the Packington Hayes site ( next to Packington Farm) which should be accessed directly from the A51 Tamworth road only at the turning shown in the pictures below:
Eligible groups this autumn
This year the main difference is that the NHS have decided that main carers and household contacts of the immunocompromised are eligible only for the flu jab and not the covid jab. This is available privately at a cost of £90. You can book this via our private clinic here https://prescriptioncareservices.co.uk/private-covid-vaccination-service/
For Covid:
- adults aged 65 years and over
- residents in a care home for older adults
- individuals aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group (as defined in tables 3 or 4 in the COVID-19 chapter of the Green Book)
- frontline NHS and social care workers, and those working in care homes for older people
For Flu:
- those aged 65 years and over
- those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups (as defined by the Green Book, Influenza Chapter 19)
- those in long-stay residential care homes
- carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
- close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
- frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme including those working for a registered residential care or nursing home, registered domiciliary care providers, voluntary managed hospice providers and those that are employed by those who receive direct payments (personal budgets) or Personal Health budgets, such as Personal Assistants

Flu and Covid can be serious in some patient groups. Though symptoms can be mild, they can progress to serious disease, especially in people 65 years and over or those with pre-existing medical conditions. The NHS free flu and covid jab service provides free covid and flu vaccinations to these specific patient groups. We may be able to offer you free NHS flu and covid vaccinations if you fall under one or more of these patient groups. Contact us if you’re unsure if you are eligible.
